Sadie Anne - 10 months old

I can't believe how fast Sadie is growing up! She is 10 months old. I am just understanding how much help Mitchell and Austin can be with her. I guess I am overly cautious with her. They help out with her so well. I want to teach them how to change diapers. This is a classic picture of Sadie since she is sucking her thumb. Ohhh, she loves her thumb. She found it at about 4 months old and has slept through the night since then. She has always hated binki's, so I am grateful she has her thumb. The only challenge will be to get her to stop sucking it around 1 year old. It is easy to get rid of a binki, but not a thumb!

The boys are always wanting to hold Sadie. However, as soon as I hand her to anyone she looks at me and starts to cry. She is definately a "momma's girl"! I love cuddling and holding her, however, it would be so nice to let someone else hold her for a while. Since she loves being held all the time she still is not crawling! She is now pulling her knees up under her and on all fours while rocking back and forth. I do not think it will be much longer until she is crawling! I am kind of glad she is not crawling all over the house yet! She loves to hold on to things and stand up. One of my favorite things that Sadie does is she "trills" with her tongue. At least that is what someone once called it.

Lake Powell - July 2008

After the long drive and sleeping in the trailer we finally get to hit the lake! We are all so excited to be at Lake Powell. I decided that I was going to leave the girls home since Sadie is only 10 months old. Since I already was paying a babysitter I decided to leave Abbie home also. Since Trevor had to work this was a wonderful trip to spend with Mitchell and Austin!

Jonathan was such a trooper! He stayed in the water and helped all the boys learn to waterski. We eventually tied a bouy on his lifejacket so boats would see him in the water. Thank you Jonathan. We were at Halls Marina and MacKay decided to get a closer look at the carp. He was looking so closely that he decided to go swimming (fell in) with about 100 carp. I sure wish I had a picture of that!

This is one amazing woman! Mom is 64 years old and she still loves to waterski! She is such a wonderful skiier. I love her grace and her noseplugs!

Since dad had his hip replacement he can no longer waterski! Since the airchair (or SkySki) has you sitting and you are strapped in tight he can airchair. Of course he got up on his first tries! We watched a video of how to do this and the next day dad went through all the steps (plane, foil, jump, etc...). However, he did all the steps in about 10 seconds and then crashed! I tried this and it is so hard. You get up and automatically sky high and then nose dive and crash!

Mitchell and Tanner were amazing on this trip. They were outgoing, fun, and so brave. They could not get enough s-turns and donuts on the Molecule. I can not believe they are getting so much older and they will start the 6th grade this year! They are growing up too fast for me!

Tanner made this trip so much fun!
Mitchell is hanging on for dear life!

Austin is so cool!!!

Tate and Sarah were so much fun. I loved staying in the same room as them. Sarah would put Tater to sleep and then she and I would talk until around 11:15 p.m.

I do not know of two more amazing people! I love my parents dearly. They are not just amazing parents, but I look up to them and admire them for all that they do and how they live their lives! Thank you for such a wonderful trip and amazing memories!

Hunter, Sydney, Austin and Rachel loved sitting in the bow of the boat to feel the wind in their hair! Sydney and Hunter wanted to go swimming every time the boat stopped.

Mitchell, Jonathan and Tanner had a blast on the Molecule! Jonathan was so awesome! Many times Jonathan had his arm around the boy on the outside of the wake in order to help them stay on the Mollie when it looked like they might get dumped. Or was it so he had a better grip to stay on himself?!?

Mitchell and Tanner were the first brave souls to let Grandpa Tate have free reign on s-turns and donuts. They got dumped a few times and got right back on for more! They are soooo cool!

Wow! Austin had fun skiing! I think he was a little nervous but he got out there and went for it! He loved swimming and riding the Molecule!

I can not believe how brave Mitchell was on this trip. Rachel wanted to go cliff jumping and Mitchell looked at me and said, "Mom, can I go?" I did not even have to ask him if he wanted to. He also loved the S-turns and donuts on the Molecule!

It was so much fun to have Tanner come with us! Even when he had a hard crash and hurt his leg on the Mollie he was tough and got back out there shortly after! He was so helpful and thoughtful. What a delight he is!
